Highlights
Day-by-day itinerary

Arrival in Punta Cana and private transfer to Bayahibe / Dominicus
Upon your arrival at Punta Cana international airport, your driver welcomes you for a private transfer to your residence in Bayahibe / Dominicus, near the East National Park. You settle into a one-bedroom apartment, fully equipped, with access to the residence pool.
Joy, your English-speaking representative, presents the accommodation, answers your questions and shares practical advice. In the evening, dinner is reserved in one of our partner restaurants to discover local flavors.

Free day in Bayahibe
After your first night on site, enjoy breakfast at a partner establishment near the residence. The day is free: get your bearings, relax by the pool or head to the beach, just five minutes on foot from your accommodation.
Lunch is at your leisure.
In the evening, a private taxi will take you to the village of Bayahibe to dine, if you wish, at a typical restaurant known for its fresh seafood and friendly atmosphere.

Saona Island by catamaran from Bayahibe
After breakfast at a restaurant partner near your accommodation, your driver will pick you up around 8:15 a.m. to take you to the port of Bayahibe. You will board a luxury catamaran, in a small group, to reach Saona.
The day includes a snorkeling session guided by your English-speaking guide to observe tropical fish, a relaxation time on a private beach and lunch on board, prepared with fresh and local products. You will then stop at the natural pool of Palmillas, where you can admire the starfish.
Return to your residence in late afternoon. Dinner on your own.

Cultural safari in République Dominicaine
In a small group with your English-speaking guide, you discover the sugarcane fields and the village of cutters. You meet the families and children there. If you wish, you can bring some sweets or school supplies.
You then visit an artisanal cigar factory, where master rollers present their work to you, followed by the local market in Higüey. The morning ends at a local resident's home, in the Dominican countryside: you discover tropical fruit trees, cocoa, coffee and spices, before sharing a typical lunch prepared over a wood fire.
In the afternoon, you board a barge boat for a cruise on the Chavón River, with aperitifs, music, dancing and swimming. Return to your accommodation around 5 p.m.

Private tour of Santo Domingo
After breakfast at a restaurant near your accommodation, your guide will pick you up around 8 a.m. for a discovery of Santo Domingo.
You will start with the Cueva de los Tres Ojos, an open-air cave with three freshwater lagoons, surrounded by rock formations and vegetation. You will then explore the colonial zone with your guide, including the cathedral and the National Pantheon, at a pace suited to your visit.
After a typical lunch, you will take the Santo Domingo cable car to observe the city from above. The late afternoon is free to explore the shopping street in the colonial zone.
Return to your accommodation around 5 p.m.

Transfer to Caño Hondo: eco-lodge in the heart of Los Haitises National Park
After a final breakfast in Bayahibe / Dominicus, you check out around noon. Your private driver takes you to Sabana de la Mar, the gateway to Los Haitises National Park.
You then settle in Caño Hondo, in an eco-lodge surrounded by tropical forest and waterfalls. Our local team remains available to accompany and advise you throughout this stage.
A package including breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided on site.

Los Haitises by Private Boat
Departure between 7:45 and 8 a.m. with a packed breakfast. You board a typical speedboat for a private excursion in the Los Haitises National Park.
You first navigate through the mangroves, then explore several caves, including Cueva Arena, adorned with Taíno drawings. A second cave allows you to discover the local vegetation. The excursion ends with a stop on a deserted beach.
Return to the eco-lodge around noon or 1 p.m., where lunch is provided. The afternoon is free to enjoy the waterfalls at the property. Dinner is organized at the eco-lodge.

Departure and private transfer to Punta Cana airport
After a last breakfast at the establishment, you check out at 1 PM, then have lunch on site. Depending on your flight schedule, you can still enjoy the hotel facilities and relax near the waterfalls.
